This field is optional but can be used if you wish to be able to sort your clients into specific categories. g. 1. A dog washing service wants to keep track of where their referrals come from. They set up Client Group categories of their most popular referral sources (Local vet clinics, Local newspaper advertisements, Word of mouth, Other etc.) Each time they add a new client, they allocate them to the appropriate group. This enables them to track which publicity options are most effective for them. E.g. 2. A counsellor sorts her client base into the categories of Individuals, Couples and Groups. She finds group work more tiring than individual work so having these categories helps her to plan her week and find a better balance in her work.
You can set up your Client groups in the Settings section or you can type directly into the Client Group box, to create a new category from the Client section.
Tip: You can see a summary of your client groups in the Client summary in the Reports section.
