This field allows you to manage the lifecycle of your appointment. A typical appointment lifecycle might start a ‘Scheduled’ then move to ‘Performed’ or ‘Cancelled’. Once that appointment has been invoiced and paid you might move the status on to ‘Completed’
The set of ‘Status’ options (session was scheduled, performed, cancelled etc) can be added to or changed by going to the Settings/Service Status section. For example, you may wish to add a “tentative booking” status to hold a space for someone for a period of time or a “Did not present” status to indicate that someone just didn’t turn up to their appointment.
When you add or change a status in the settings you can also assign a particular colour for that status. This allows you to see appointment status at a glance.
