Each session creates a line item on the invoice for a client. The ‘invoice details’ information is added onto the end of the line item for this session. An example of why you might want to do this is, if a counsellor bills a number of clients’ sessions to the same organisation, this would be where you could add the names of each client so that they all appear individually on the same invoice. If the invoice is to a company, place the company’s name in the Name section. You can then place the name of the individual you are giving the service to in the Invoice details section (so that each session and who you saw in that session can be identified individually on the invoice) and also in the Summary information (for easy reference when you look at your scheduled sessions.)
