A client record can be quickly located in the Client Detail view if the list is short. But looking for a client from a list which spans several pages can be quite taxing. This article guides the user on how to search and view clients record efficiently.
Searching clients record
In the Client Detail view is a sorted list of clients arranged in ascending order.
Beside the + Add Client button is a filter textbox which is provided for faster searching of client’s record. Typing a letter b in the filter will list all names or (phone or email) which has a letter b in them.
The first, second and the fourth record has letter b in their client names. The fourth record has letter b in its email address.
We can further narrow the filter, by extending the filter string. Suppose we type e next to b to form a substring be. Then the list will display only those names (or phone or email) which has a substring be.
The filter text box string matching applies to the client’s name, phone or email. The string matching does not apply to other fields such as Clients Group and any other fields.
A dropdown box at the right of the filter textbox is provided to filter according to its status - such as whether Active, Inactive, etc.
Clicking on Active displays the clients which are Active or enabled. Choosing Inactive in the dropdown displays the clients which are Inactive or disabled.
